Perfect for security and animal observation the ScoutGuard SG-550V IR trail camera is fully motion activated and takes still photos and videos.

Motion Activated

The ScoutGuard SG-550V is fully PIR motion activated.  This means that it activates from heat sources and not just something moving.  It has three PIR sensitivity settings ranging from 5m up to 15m.

Fast Triggering & Power saving

When motion is detected the Scoutguard will awake from sleep mode and start recording in less than 1.3 seconds.  The Scoutguard will then return to sleep mode in order to save battery life. 

Stills or Video

The Scoutguard can be set to take 5MP still photos or 640 x 480 video clips.   Photos can be taken in lots up to 3 each time movement is detected or video at lengths up to 60 seconds.

Day & Night

The Scoutguard takes full colour photos and videos during the day and will take high quality B & W images at night even in pitch black.   This is because when it activates at night an infrared flash illuminates providing light that is only visible to the camera.

Colour View Finder & Remote

The Scoutguard comes with a hand held plug in colour view finder and remote.  This is used to review captured footage onsite and also to setup all the different options.
